AIMS OF THE PROJECT
CloudiFacturing project aims at optimizing production processes using Cloud/HPC-based modelling and simulation, leveraging online factory data and advanced data analytics, thus contributing to the competitiveness and resource efficiency of manufacturing enterprises, ultimately fostering the vision of Factories 4.0. Zannini S.p.A. is involved as end-user into one of the multiple experiment, whose specific objective is to improve the process control with the help of multi-variable big data analytics. Real-time monitoring and analysis will allow to do on-line clustering and to detect outlier clusters in multi-dimensional space in order to identify and localize anomalies and deviations in the production process.
RESULTS OF THE PROJECT
Combining machine learning and quality management techniques, manufacturing data measured allow the creation of a data analytics toolkit (data-driven Digital Twin) which runs on cloud resources. The comparison between this normal behaviour and the real time data enables to detect variations and anomalies in the production system. This allows manufacturing enterprises to improve check of components quality (reducing scrap rate and increasing process capability), to maximize tool lifetime (reducing downtime and tool cost) and to easily perform root cause analysis in case of faulty parts.
